Besides teaching at Cia de Danca Deborah Colker (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:30 PM), the brazilian modern-jazz muse Marly Tavares will run a new class in Copacabana.
La Tavares was an important character of the Bossa Nova Era. In 1961, she starred in Skindô, at Copacabana Palace, music directed by the American maestro Bill Hitchcock and choreographed by the American dancer Sonia Shaw. She also created memorable choreographic works for television as the opening of the novel Baila Comigo, in partnership with Lennie Dale, and several ad pieces.
The modern-jazz classes will run at DeAnima, Ex-Eugenia Feodorova school, Rua Santa Clara 98/C.02, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:30 PM and will start 27th February.
